Part Two

Good Morning!

A continuation of "How We Fit Four People and One Twitchy Dog Into 950sqft":

I have a few pictures left of the work I've been doing over the last two months. Plus, Aurelia loves the camera, so I have some photos of that cutie-patootie too.

First of all, my bedroom--it's been practically done for a month now. Matthew was nice enough to tell me which books I could donate in order to free up some room on his swollen bookshelf, but those books never actually left the room. They sat in diaper boxes until yesterday when I got tired of lookin' at 'em. We also moved the bassinet back into our room to make space for T.J.'s crib. I've posted before about how cozy and calming our new bedroom setup is, and I still very much feel that way.

So there's that. I have plans to refurbish the armoire I used when Matt and I were in the big room. Only one tiny closet is not fun for us, although we have managed... It stayed in the bigger room, but the kids don't have enough stuff (yet) to fill it.

Aurelia likes it as is, but I'm going to put cushions along the floor/sides/back to make a little nook for her to sit. Eventually, I will hang clipboards/holders for writing and reading, but it will probably just be a little hangout for her and her stuffed animals for the next few years. I may decorate the back wall with alphabet flashcards to get her started, but I won't expect too much. Right now, it's home to extra crib linens, but eventually the drawers will hold activities. There is also a tutorial on a blog for covering empty diaper boxes with fabric to make pretty containers which will live here also. That's a giant undertaking, however, and I'm leaving it for after everything else is done (if I have time); otherwise, I'm okey-dokey leaving it for six months from now when my body is once again my own.

I'm also kinda proud of this in the living room:

And now a random finish:

This is the winter coat I scored for Aurelia at Fred Meyer for only $20!! Comes with an orange hat and scarf...what?!

Yes...that is me at 34 weeks pregnant. All the horrible people that are incredulous when I tell them I still have a ways to go are correct to be so....and still, I hate them.

And, this awesome little table is a Christmas present from Grandma Patty. Aurelia loves sitting on chairs, big and small, so this is what I told her she wanted for Christmas. But, apparently Grandma thought she may want it now. (She does...)

Hope you liked the two-part photo barrage. We will return to bland, albeit snarky posts for a bit now.
