While Mom Was Out

I had to work this weekend.  Matthew was responsible for my children.  From 8:30 this morning until about 6:15 this evening.

The Rest:

• Matthew texted me at 5:30 with a photo of the "shit storm".  He called me at 6:10 to make sure I was coming home.
• I walk in the door to hear "Aurelia has eaten half-a-bowl of Lucky Charms and Thaddeus has had two".  Classic.

The Best:

•  We know, as moms, that when the kids are being quiet and playing well together, there is probably something mischievous actually going on.  Often, we let it be because it means we're able to get our stuff done.  Matt was trying to fix his broken computer, but the silence finally made him nervous.  He found Aurelia sitting in Thad's high chair chugging the bottle of syrup.  Yup.... She wasn't feeling so hot later.  I have to work again tomorrow, but the syrup is now unreachable.
