(Yeah, that's pumpkin cream cheese bread--what?!). Also made a healthier variety of pumpkin muffins for my munchkin (even though Daddy thought she'd rather have the good stuff for dinner). But that's not the point. The point is that due to needing Thursday and Saturday to accommodate Matt's schedule, I got Thursday through Monday off. How? Don't care. All I know is I am going to kick my to-do list in the frikin pants! Then I can sit around gaining another pound per week while I wait for this show to get on the road.
Today was successful. I say "successful" in that I achieved my objectives. Four stops with minimal whining in only two hours. Score! It was less successful in that after the first stop, I went to take Aurelia out of her car seat only to find she had been having a good time dumping apple juice all over her awesome pink tights. Also, if you and another person are walking through the parking lot at Home Depot with an item that is clearly for return, you're a tool if you run in front of the pregnant lady holding the toddler.
I have also been noticing how talking constantly to the baby has been starting to make sense. All the books say to narrate to the baby; yeah, they don't get it now, but it helps them in end. So, I've been babbling like a crazy woman, asking questions that she has no hope of answering (should we wear the pink shirt or the blue one? I'm going to vacuum now; get ready! Mommy is making you oatmeal for breakfast--yum!), just nonsense in general. There are phrases now that are becoming meaningful to her, which I love! When I ask if she's hungry, she heads to the kitchen. When I ask if she is ready for tubby-time (our before bed bath), she goes to the bottom of the stairs. Just a few minutes ago, we were playing in her room and she decided to lay on the floor and rub her eyes. I asked if she was ready for a nap. She got up and proceeded to attempt the climb into her crib. It was pretty awesome.
