Disclaimer: This May Be Boring

So I haven't updated y'all on the goings-on here at Palazzo du Sebby. I can hardly believe all that's been happening myself. As I have been working the last three days (a weekday shift, I know) I was given this information from Matthew; you all are coming upon it secondhand. This could be a very short game of "telephone"... But, before you pee your pants in anticipation, I will tell you the great news: ...nothing. There is nothing new about which to update you, Avid Reader.

Things are moving along this week about the same as they did last week. Aurelia walks, and, although her gait is still much like that of our friend, Frankenstein (that's pronounced Fr-ah-nk-en-schteen), she is getting much faster. You wouldn't believe how many places she has to go. Every outing is like a mission, the most important mission of her life, and she could care less if we went with her. "Come along" is not in her phrase book; in fact, I don't even think she hears the words when they're said--something about the specific frequency of my voice used to say those two words does not register in her ears. That must be the cause because I know I've said it enough for her to learn it. Contrarily, she is aware that when both of her names are uttered, the necessary response is to look at me and pout her lips. When Daddy or I say "no", the appropriate reaction is to pull back and then try again, slowly. "No", not once nor twice but THRICE is the needed amount of syllables to convince her that she probably shouldn't touch it now, but trying again later is not out of the question. She speaks in a language of her own creation; a sound byte (proper use of the nerd-term, byte, thank you very much) would be good inserted here, but using words like byte and actually putting things like byte places are very different animals. I don't know how she came up with the language. It sounds nothing like English, but it's kind of awesome to listen to her talking to her pals like she knows exactly what she's saying. She sleeps with her booty stuck so straight up in the air, I can't imagine how it's comfortable. Also awesome.

Matthew is coming upon his two year anniversary with North Idaho College (what?!), and he's still rockin' the socks off that gig. He's kinda the boss. School started a couple of weeks ago, so he's been busy. And it is rough! Summertime is so much nicer.

I'm still pregnant. I'm still working erratically on projects and cleaning. I'm still over-thinking things. I have added a new Old Lady Trait to my arsenal. For a twenty-four year old, the list is fairly impressive.
1. Cardigans are a (beloved) staple of my wardrobe
2. Rapidly becoming a (reluctant) homebody--I blame Matthew....and all these damn kids!
3. My mother-in-law told me she thinks I would enjoy macrame (this is fancy knot-tying...very hip)
4. My idea of exercise is a leisurely waddle around the neighborhood (this could also be attributed to pregnancy, but we're being subjective right now)
5. Lives with (and is married to) an old man
6. (the newest, as in today) I learned to crochet. Yes. We watched a movie at home and I practiced my newly acquired craft while sitting on the couch while wearing a cardigan and listening to my husband brag about his farting. If you didn't know how old we were, what would you picture?

I'll leave you with that.

(help me)
