Update y'all on Aurelia's new "tricks". She has been picking up on a few things lately that are proving to be quite amusing.
1. If two adults are laughing about something amongst themselves, she will chuckle and pretend to be included. Sometimes, her tiny contribution chimes in at just the right time, as though she really does comprehend a punchline.
2. She and Daddy dance to TV show theme songs. We watch alotta TV... ashamed to admit, but it really is true. We like our brains to be pudding. Aurelia has always like the fast-moving objects, bright colors and jaunty music that goes along with the beginning titles. Watching in fascinating evolved into head-bobbing, and now we've achieved full-blown dancing. Matthew gets up and jumps and encourages her, and it's absolutely hysterical to see her clapping with her hands above her head while trying to move her little feet as fast as she can and laughing her face off.
3. After bath time, we are not able to dry off and pajama up without a game of baby-initiated peek-a-boo with the towel. I lay her down on the bed and she throws the towel over her face, hides for a spell and then tosses it out of the way, full o' four-tooth smiles. This takes a few minutes (less time than she would prescribe, I imagine).
I'm sure there's more; she's pretty cool. But I've been staring at the screen-slash-keyboard for ten minutes with nothing coming to mind.
