So, here it is. The first of at least 12 weekly weigh-ins. This number is painful to admit. Even though last week was technically the "first" and this appears to be a loss, I know there are lots of factors (time of day, clothes, wet hair, etc.) which contributed to the number last Thursday being a bit high. So, this number may look like a loss, but that remains to be seen next Wednesday. (And until I hit a number below where I was three weeks ago, I won't count the lost pounds...)
216.4
Yuck. I have a couple of motivational tools I'm going to employ to make sure I am where I'd like to be when I head out to the much-anticipated Hansen family reunion. The people there that I have met haven't seen me since my wedding, and I hate that they might think "Geez, she got fat!" And this may be unfair to put thoughts in their minds, but I can't help but try to head those accidental thoughts off at the pass (by not being fat). There are several cousins who have had babies in the last year or two, much like me, and they are not fat. That is the motivation at the end. I am in the process of putting together a weight loss challenge for my little moms' group, and in addition, as a motivator for myself, I am going to put $5 in a jar for every pound I lose. At the end, that money will be used towards a new wardrobe to fit my new booty. The more I lose, the more new and cute clothes I can buy. Sounds like a plan, right? Well, we'll see.
In other news, we have some Easter fun coming up in the next few days. This afternoon, there is a little egg hunt at the college where Matt works. It's nice because it's contained and indoors. There is another egg hunt (this one outside) on Saturday. Last year, we just did the one at NIC, and Aurelia ended up sitting in the middle of the floor double-fisting a plastic egg and kazoo. She also has a photo with the Easter bunny in which she is just staring at him. This year, I think she'll be happy to point out that he is a "bunny bunny bunny bunny bunny bunny!"

You go girl! If it makes you feel any better, I still have 25+ pounds to lose, so I'm right there with ya! :) Here's hoping we can both look "presentable" for the reunion. :)
