My brain is so mushy that a two-year-old is my best friend, but today I was able to get several projects started. Plus I got a new iPhone (jumpin' on the ol' Apple bandwagon, I guess... In all honesty, it was the prospect of a Pinterest app that sold me.)
Often on Saturdays, Matt and I are too tired from the week to wrap our collective intellect around anything but maybe a quick stroll around the mall or Target. Maybe we hit up the playground so the girl child can burn off some energy. However, the truth about playgrounds is that they'll be much more fun for me when
Thaddeus can walk. He doesn't like how the wood chips feel on his
hands when he tries to crawl after his sister, but he loves how they taste. So I have to carry his 21-pound ass around. But I digress.
I can't resist the Habitat for Humanity Restore, even though I should not be allowed there. I don't know what it is about loose building supplies that gets me so hot and bothered, but SRSLY. Even when I need nothing AT ALL, I easily spend 45 minutes browsing (and walk out of there with a bag full of tiles). I found a perfect door there (and had to resist a second one that I liked just for funsies) as well as some stain, paint and a photo frame that looks like a film strip. All for $11. I spent the afternoon naptime (Matthew included) spray-painting away. {Pictures tomorrow!}
Ahhh... relief. I love getting stuff done.

Okay, I'd never heard of that 'restore', it looks way cool! Good job getting things done, feel free to send some of that motivation down to southern Idaho :).
ReplyDeleteIt is WAY cool, Jana!! The people that work there are starting to know me... And this time when I was there, I found out that there is an even bigger, cheaper one only 30 minutes away! Matt is sooo happy for me!!! (I know sarcasm is hard to convey via type, but you got that one, right?)
