Adult Aurelia

My girl is left-handed.  For some reason, I absolutely love this.  I love that it makes her unique (us right-handers are so normal).  But what I truly enjoy about noticing this factoid is that it is something that will help define her as an adult.  So much about her is so young.  Everything about her will change as she grows-- from the obvious things, like size to more variable traits like hair and eye color.  Her diction will obviously mature (sad to say-- I love her toddler language!).  Her perfect round baby face will grow up.  The way she moves and reacts, the foods she eats, the activities she enjoys.  Even the relationships she has with friends, family, me.  Everything about her has the potential to be different in as little as weeks to years down the road.  Except this: she is left-handed.  And, knowing that is kinda cool.

  1. LOVE your outlook on things! I think we have a lefty on our hands too, but I never thought about it this way. Thank you for pointing this detail out to me. :)

  2. I love it! Especially her little furrowed brow of concentration. My cousin was left-handed and I always thought it was sooo cool how he ate his cereal :).
