First. I know that awoken is not a real word. Or if it is, I am not using it correctly.
Jamie and I got to experience the best alarm clock ever this morning. It started at 5:45 am, when Aurelia came stumbling into our room crying. This is a somewhat regular occurrence. She has nightmares and comes to snuggle with Mom and Dad. This morning it was something different. Some sort of evil had taken our child in the middle of the night. Her body had been fighting it and expelled the evil violently. This bodes well for a future hunting vampires or zombies or performing exorcisms. It did not end well for her hair, bedding, or clothing. I can only compare her look to how Bill Murray looked after getting slimed in Ghostbusters, though the smell may have been worse.
Jamie immediately got out of bed and started the tub and cleaned up Aurelia's room. I, through determined laziness, comforted our child. I say that this takes determined laziness because I was determined to stay in bed as long as I could, even with a toddler covered in upstairs and downstairs business sobbing against my chest. This lasted at most three minutes, until the smell and tactile feeling of whatever was coating her forced us out of bed and into the tub.
Overall, not the best experience for team Sebby.
