Disney is horrible for children. There are all kinds of issues with these films. And I seem to find more of them with each watching.
Beauty and the Beast - This is a movie about a woman who falls in love with an animal(?) then shows no qualms with just transferring all those emotions to the goofy looking dude that the beast transforms into. Additionally, where are all of the clocks, dishes, furniture, etc. when all off the people turn back to people? Was the castle empty originally? And how old is Mrs. Potts and how does she have a kid that age?
Little Mermaid - I haven't seen this show in a long time, but it does feature a song that advocates date rape. What kind of song is Kiss the Girl? It is just saying who cares what she thinks, if you feel it you should kiss someone.
Cinderella - Why do they let the fat mouse help? He is the worst at stuff. He can't handle simple tasks like getting food without having some sort of complete dustup with the damn cat. And guess what, names mean things. If i were named Lucifer (the cats name) I would be evil as hell too.
Aristocats - I have only seen this once, but it is based in France and all the cats speak english, with southern accents.
Tangled - Why tell Rapunzel what a birthday is. It just makes her ask questions in the long run, which seems to be something a kidnapper would want to keep to a minimum.
Megamind - We are watching this right now. I have absolutely no complaints about this show. It seems pretty legit.
I cannot take credit for all (or even most) of these observations. I was helped/inspired by my darling wife. She is the wind beneath my wings.
