There are several random thoughts careening around the ol' melon right about now. Not enough of each one to form a coherent post, so let's mash it up, Cajun-style (thanks, Carville).

1. I love an organized space. My kitchen counters were ova-LOADED with crap. I did what I do best: removed it all, sorted it and put it back as pretty and functionally as I could. I feel so much more relaxed now. It's unfortunate that every other room can't be done during naptime.

2. The orbit sander I bought from Home Depot arrived on Friday, and I did a little riverdance on Saturday afternoon as I pulled it out of it's neat little case (yeah, it totally came with a case!) to finally sand the photo ledges Sarah and I made weeks ago (from here). It seemed simple enough: plug it in, push the on button, keep it away from your face and sand away. Yeah... it's broken.... That's what I get for trying to get a bargain and ordering a refurbished (aka someone else's used shit). Insert bitching and moaning here.

3. Aurelia is B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Totally. Someone please tell me that hissy fit she throws every 30-40 seconds is a phase and not a reflection on my parenting thus far. Please? Anyone? (crickets chirp). I know, I know. Matthew assures me that she's two and not spoiled. I still called her a jerk to her face today....

And, that's that. There's more, but I'm getting distracted by wanting to fall asleep at 9:30.
