Aureliaisms

My toddler says the darndest things.  All kids come up with weird things to say; this, I know.  Aurelia had some good ones this week.  As her vocabulary increases, it has become less gibberish (although it's still nonsensical).

Some examples:

Thaddeus was playing in his exersaucer (formerly known as Aurelia's Mad Science Machine), enjoying his fat little face off.  Aurelia waltzes over and grabs one of the toys from him.  Very seriously, she points at him, shakes her head and says "No, no, doggy."

She has gotten into the habit of telling me to be quiet when T.J. is napping.  "Shhhh," she says, pressing her finger to her mouth and up her nose (this must really drive her point home), "Sleeping."  (I asked her today where her baby was and she told me "sleeping", which was true and awesome that she considers Thad to be her baby.)

When it's time for nap or bed, she gets to have two pacifiers.  She has taken to asking for a nap just to get time with her pacifiers.  "Binky?  Two?"

(This will make Grandma very happy)  Whenever she notices me on my computer, she eclipses the screen with her giant head, saying "Gramma" because she thinks it's time with Skype with Patty.

She love love loves Mirror-Aurelia.  One of our rituals at the end of the night, after we read our bedtime stories, is to say goodnight to the girl in the mirror.  There is also a homeless mirror leaning up against a corner in the hallway.  Aurelia likes to show pictures and tell that girl in the mirror all about her Pa-Pa (Ken).

And that's the news.

This is from that big snow we had in January.  It makes me laugh.
